The $18.6 Trillion Model Portfolio Problem

Evergreen funds still can't get in cleanly.

Platforms are increasingly promoting public/private models, but the two sides still settle separately:

The public part runs on the platform…while the private part gets processed off platform through individual investor subscriptions. So the advisor holds one model on paper, while the public and private books are never seamlessly combined on a single infrastructure.

The plumbing to merge them hasn't been built:

  • rebalancing the model when the private side can't trade daily,
  • processing subscriptions and redemptions at model scale,
  • holding and pricing the whole book as one position.

Omnibus, sub-accounting and real-time data are the unlock for the evergreen side.

This PMF webinar - held in partnership with Monark Markets - will help map the infrastructure that needs to be built so evergreen funds can scale in models, and will explore who should build it: a coalition of asset managers, platforms, custodians, transfer agents, infrastructure providers and fund admins.
